For the past few hours, I’ve been working on the file picker for selecting a rom and a save file. A lot of it is just learning about how to use Ratatui. Originally, I was going to have the selecting happen all at once, by one function, but I switched it to two calls so that load_rom() and has_battery() can be called to check whether the save menu should even come up.

The thing is, since with a new save, the file has to be constructed by the emulator and it doesn’t exist. Right now, I’m writing a little text input field to be triggered if the save menu gets close with Esc. This will be pretty short, and won’t require a large change to existing code. After that, I’ll wire it in and test.
