If You Do Not Comply
Hello everyone! We’re back with another devlog! I need to go to school soon, so let’s dive right in!
Numerics, Literally
Since I made the style guide, it was time to start implementing it. So far, I’ve gone through emulator.rs, memory_bus.rs, apu.rs, and cpu.rs.
-
emulator.rs
This one just needed doccomment formatting. -
memory-bus.rs
This one needed a few numeric literal changes. I also directly accesses the stat field of gpu, which is unnacceptable, but since I’m doing gpu.rs next, I left it for the time being. -
apu.rs
Despite being the file in which I came up with a chunk of my numeric literal style while writing, it felt like every literal was wrong. -
cpu.rs
This was the second easiest file, despite it being the longest by a wide margin. There was some repetitive numeric literal issues in the methods, but that was it. I also tried to split it into multiple files for length since it is double the size of any other file, but I lowkey failed.
Next up is gpu.rs compliance. I’ll see y’all next time!
