Devlog 11: Notepad

After my holiday break, I am back working on the project. The main feature added for this devlog is the Notepad app.

Grab a note from the tray, click on it, then type. The notes convert Markdown into HTML. The HTML is sanitised so it can’t be used to run malicious scripts.

Top Tip

Try adding the FPS OS logo as a sticker by typing:

into any Notepad window.

Bonus feature: More Physics

It is now possible to add physics to the 3DUI windows (PC screen/notepad notes).

Along with this change, it is much more fun to throw objects around. Objects now keep momentum when let go.

Top Tip

The 3DUI system used for the windows is kinda buggy.
For best results face yourself towards the wall with the door on it and place the window in front of you.

Bonus feature: More grabbing

More objects are able to be picked up including the clock, shelf and rug. Some objects are still work in progress.

Bug fixes

• Objects can now be thrown out the windows
• You can walk through the doorway after you delete the door

Current bugs

• Right click doesn’t work on MacBooks (fixed!)
• The velocity from the player is being subtracted instead of added to dropped objects (fixed!)
• Moved PC windows can not be interacted with
