Apollo Accord Movement Update
TL;DR
- Crouching works!
- Snappier movement
- Leaning in the works; conflicts with mouse yaw.
- Raycasted bullets
Long Version
So I was somehow able to get crouching working. It’s more of a semi-crouch, since I haven’t implemented the humanoid animator yet and it works by moving the camera down. (Yikes)
In addition, I’m currently working on leaning, but it’s not really stable yet and conflicts with the mouse yaw. I think it’ll be fixed by the next devlog. ??
Last, I got a comment on the last devlog suggesting a raycast + physics based solution for bullets and implemented that.

I think you made it bro , Your game look amazing to me btw i am also an game dev , can you give any advice for StarDance?
Sure.
Since stardance is a limited time even I suggest you don’t bore yourself down on the details, like trying to built on top of a diy engine (don’t ask me how I know). Focus on short, high quality slices of your game since players and demo testers only play so little. Last, stop working on it if you feel burnt out. During burnout, you will probably make changes that might add up as technical debt later on.
Did you create the assets yourself or did you find them online?
The astronaut suit and the M4 is from online sources but everything else is made by me. The online assets are there for temporary purposes and are due to be replaced by original assets soon.
