Hellooo, Its time for an update!! As you guys can see, I revamped the entire design, itnstead of it being vertical, I changed it to horizontal so it sits nicely beneath my monitor. Except for that, I had to change the entire Schematic since I have abandoned the Joystick idea… I know I know it was kind of the highlight of the project BUT I cant do anything, it was very hard to design the actual clicking mechanism into the shell, PLUS since the dial rotates the switch clickers would have had to rotate too, that means I would have to make TWO cocentric dials and that type of CAD is WAYYY above my level, I only have basic tutorial level experience with CAD and its a bit too much for me. After FlexPad (and my exams lol) I plan to start a fully CAD dedicated project kinda like the space shuttle I saw here on one of the posts REALLY COOL, shout out to that project tbh. I removed the four switches and converted the main area to a 6 switch array instead of 3. I cant even tell you how many construction lines I had to make to space everything correctly, pair that up with my potato of a PC and I crashed like FIVE TIMES, YES IM NOT EVEN KIDDING DUDE, especially since I am on CachyOS which if you dont know is a rolling release, and being the dumb human I am, I decided to update between my timelapse, THANKFULLY, unlike lookout, lapse actually remembers your session lol. Back to topic, I have finally completed the PCB too, though it looks like a rat nest lol. I used a SHIT TON of Via’s I literally spammed them. I also had a doubt if any of stardance’s team see this, I already asked in this hackpad slack, the board dimensions are like 130mm ish x 70 mm ish around, and I remember reading somewhere the max limit was around 100x100, I checked on JLCPCB at its under the 15$ grant budget so I think I should be fine but still. Also, the main highlight will be the entire first layer being entirely transparent!!! YOHOOO! when I send it off to print, I will make the non-transparent upper layer too but in the same stl file I also plan to make a kit of sorts where I only need to add acrylic and I can just drop in that clear version for the opaque version. I plan to do a lot of styling on the opaque version tho, In case I’m not able to make the clear version. Please comment down below any ideas you may have and see you in the next vlog!!!! BE SURE TO LIKE, COMMENT SUBSCRI- (to be continued….)

cool, i think if the knob is a little bit more low profile it would be better, since its big n stuff. Also, since its like so big, maybe jus turn it into a control dial, with a little dent so u can use a finger to turn it.
