Project O.U.M.N. is an open-source, expeditionary In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) manufacturing platform designed to solve the payload and logistics constraints of long-duration space missions. Shipping ;separate specialized machinery (3D printers, PCB mills, laser cutters) to a lunar or Martian habitat is logistically unfeasible due to strict mass limitations. O.U.M.N. solves this by decoupling the physical motion system from the functional toolheads. Utilizing a high-rigidity, ultra-compact, intersecting dual-gantry frame constructed from basic hardware-store steel conduit and 3D-printed components, this single platform serves as a universal manufacturing node.
