by that i mean we cut holes in a cardboard box, screwed the motors into them, stuck the wheels on, and codexed like no tomorrow until the motors somehow worked (THANK YOU SO MUCH LUCAS and also gpt luna), but our stupid dingy two-wheeled cardboard box actually moved! baby steps i swear
ok but more important we’ve actually designed a metal base for the robot!! its literally a flat metal sheet with holes cut in it + 2 bent sheet metal pieces with motor holes cut out in them but! we learned about onshape a bunch more, the process of sheet metal modeling, and especially how to work with a machine shop. you heard that right, we’re getting our parts sent to a machine shop!!!! im really excited to see this piece come to life after we bumbled around on an onshape tab for like 3 hours trying to design it, i have a feeling its gonna be really cool. oh also were getting it tomorrow afternoon yay!!!!
