Devlog 16! — Okay, NOW It’s Done. 😭
Phew.
I thought Privournal was finally finished, but while making the final ASCII recording, I found a bunch of small errors (Some was huge), inconsistencies and table issues that I had to fix.
What I worked on:
-
Added two new functions: Show Keys and View Account.
- Show Keys lets users view all their saved encryption keys.
- View Account displays their account details neatly in a table.
-
Fixed several encryption and decryption bugs, including issues with journal selection, menu choices and input validation.
-
Fixed problems with database values and journal data being handled incorrectly.
-
Improved table formatting, spacing and alignment throughout the program.
-
Cleaned up various small inconsistencies and errors that appeared during full end-to-end testing.
-
Made the new ASCII recording. There was some old test data already stored, which was causing confusing duplicate entries and messing up the tables. After clearing that out, everything worked properly.
And finally…
The entire thing worked perfectly. 🎉
Most of this Devlog was about fixing the small things rather than adding huge new features, but it made Privournal more consistent and reliable.
